SnugFleece II Wool Mattress Pad

The SnugFleece 2 mattress pad is about one third less dense than the SnugFleece Original, but with the same pile height.   Pure American wool is attached to a 100% cotton backing.  These covers have a super deep wool pile height of one and three quarters inches and contain 60 ounces of wool per linear yard!  The wool cradles painful pressure points and aids circulation. This helps with neck stiffness, lower back pain, insomnia, numbness in hands and arms, painful joints, and fibromyalgia.

Why Use Wool?   Wool has an inherent ability to act as a natural thermostat. It handles temperature and moisture from sweating by adjusting throughout the night to accommodate your fluctuating body temperature.  Sleep studies conducted by the American Wool Council have shown that when you sleep on wool you sleep more soundly and are less likely to toss, turn and wake up throughout the night.  Six separate research studies conducted in four countries indicated that relaxed sleep, induced by wool, has health and therapeutic benefits.  Altogether, 90% of 700 users reported relief from stiffness and pain!

Waterbeds - The SnugFleece II Wool mattress pad is great for waterbeds too.  They absorb excess moisture to prevent that clammy feeling commonly associated with waterbeds.

Relief for Allergy Sufferers - SnugFleece II  brings relief to allergy sufferers because SnugFleece wool is sanitized with Ultra-Fresh to prevent the growth of microorganisms.  It is locked in the fibers during wool blending to withstand dry cleaning, and will last the life of the product.  Ultra-Fresh prevents odors and guards against premature deterioration caused by dust, mold, and mildew.  This 100% virgin American wool is also flame resistant!

Easy Care and Cleaning - Sheets protect your mattress pad so it will require little cleaning. Wool's low static fibers resist dust and staining, and its natural lanolin oil resists liquids.  Occasionally leaving your bed unmade will allow your SnugFleece to breathe and rejuvenate itself. Because of the natural resilience of the wool fiber, your cover will spring back to its original shape with a simple vacuuming or combing. Some people like to take it outside and shake it occasionally to re-fluff it.  It also may be dry cleaned.
